Nat Russo has a nice blog entry about his journey as an indie author. Most interestingly, sales for his book Necromancer Awakening: Book One of The Mukhtaar Chronicles didn’t really take off until after he stopped a massive ad campaign. Once focused on the fundamentals of writing and mentoring, sales grew organically. Check out his blog, and his book.
